Is Your Property Crew-Ready? 5 Things to Check Before Listing with Hard Hat Housing

Carrie Mink • July 11, 2025

Thinking of listing your property with Hard Hat Housing? Great move. But before we can match your space with a hardworking construction crew, we need to make sure it’s truly “crew-ready.”

Here are the five things we always tell homeowners to double-check:

1. Reliable Wi-Fi

Crews use it to video call home, stream shows, and prep for the next day. Bad signal = bad experience. A strong router setup is a small investment that goes a long way.

2. Clean, Functional Kitchen

They don’t need a chef’s kitchen, but they do need something usable: clean stove, working microwave, full-size fridge, and basic cookware.

3. Parking That Makes Sense

Crews often drive trucks or trailers. Make sure they can park without blocking neighbors or feeling like they’re playing Tetris.

4. Sleep-Friendly Spaces

Think blackout curtains, quiet rooms, and comfy beds. These guys need to recover, give them the chance to do it right.

5. Tidy and Stocked

Fresh linens. Working appliances. No weird smells. First impressions matter, and we want them to walk in and feel ready to settle in, not clean up.

Your house doesn’t have to be fancy. It just has to be crew-ready. If you’re unsure about something, our team is happy to walk you through it. Contact Hard Hat Housing at 859-575-0662, or email us at info@hardhathousing.com.
